PCS upgrade
For driving the different production lines of a pharmaceutical company, eReM has designed, built and installed 48 new Foxboro DCS swing frames and a Foxboro DCS system cabinet. Also the software and hardware of the Siemens PLC systems, that regulate the supply of materials, have been migrated to Siemens Step 7. Replacement was necessary, because the old systems were no longer supported. The DCS swing frames and the system cabinet were replaced in different phases. This way, the down times could stay as low as possibe. The PLC’s will be replaced in the last phase, after they have been thoroughly tested. Because of the good communication and the trust between the different parties, the phases of the project could easily follow-up.
